Sales & Technical Support Assistant

GE COMMERCE INC is looking for a motivated Engineering Student or person in Vancouver to support our growing business in the industrial electrical and automation sector. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity ideal for a student seeking practical experience in technical products, e-commerce, and customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with technical review of electrical and automation products
  • Help prepare product descriptions, specifications, and documentation
  • Support product listings and updates for our online store
  • Assist with basic technical customer inquiries
  • Organize product data, catalog information, and supplier documentation
  • Provide support with quotations, comparisons, and product research
  • Help with basic engineering-related tasks such as interpreting datasheets and technical information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering program in Vancouver (Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, or Mechanical preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical datasheets
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Sheets
  • Interest in industrial electrical products, controls, automation, or e-commerce
  • Knowledge of Shopify, CAD, or technical documentation is an asset, but not required
